I just ordered what will (hopefully) be my last set of research CDs. That will make 39 CDs in all that I will have gone through at roughly 2,000 pages each. Including the nine I just ordered, I still have 25 CDs that I have yet to go through. This is, by far, the most arduous research project I have ever undertaken. Right now, though, I’m simply just trying to index the CDs into Word documents so that I can more easily find the information I will need later. I have to say, I both love and hate that the Army Air Force appears to have kept every single piece of paper the 73rd Bombardment Wing ever generated. I just wish that the CDs themselves were searchable, rather than having to scroll through every single page. But, if it were easy, maybe someone else would have written this book before me.
